Make it by Moo-mas: SUCCESS!

It’s admittedly been a little over a week since The Establishment of the Celestial Cow on December 25th, but sometimes good news is worth the wait.

Thanks to your tremendous generosity, we passed the $3000 goal mark on the evening of the 24th, and have been able to put the money towards the much needed pipe repairs!

There’s always more work to be done admittedly, and we’ll have information for you soon regarding our next fundraising project, but for now give yourself a well deserved “Nekhtet!” and read on for a few exciting updates from the HelpingTawy team:

1.) Starting within the next two weeks, you can look forward to receiving monthly updates from Awibemhethert via that will share the details of how your donations have been put to the best possible use for Tawy House!

2.) In celebration of “Red Week,” the House of Netjer’s week long festival in honor of the god Set which will kick off 2015, we will be selling a stunning journal full to the brim with art and writings by our temple members. Stay tuned for this exciting release!

Blessings to you and yours at the start of the new year, and thank you again for all of your continued help for our temple!

Make it by Moo-mas: Update #2

‘Tis the season of winter celebrations, and we’re certainly celebrating here at HelpingTawy! Thanks to you, we’re within $500 of our final goal of $3000! But the question remains: can we “Make it By Moomas?”

Here are four great ways you can help us in the final stretch to raise the remaining money for our Tawy House plumbing repairs by December 25th:

1.) Sign up to donate to the House of Netjer every time you do some of your holiday shopping via AmazonSmile!

2.) Check out our artistic donation gifts as possible gift options for your friends and family. We have some great new spiritual jewelry pieces made by Sarduriur, and several other artists like Rayashi and A’aqytsekhmet who you could commission to make a unique piece of wearable art or a painting!

3.) Curious about what lies ahead  for you in the new year? Consider the divination donation gifts under spiritual services!

4.) Earn a holiday music album available only for those who read this update by contacting Saryt at with proof of donation by December 10th.  Sarytsenuwi will send you an album (including a minimum of 6 a capella tracks) of a few of her Kemetic adaptations of traditional holiday carols, to be digitally delivered on the 21st. Minimum $10.00 donation required!

A merry Moo-mas to everyone, and may you and yours have a joyous winter holiday season!

Raise for Repairs: Make it by Moo-mas!

Em hotep, to my siblings in the faith, and nekhtet!

In the month of October, through your kindness and generosity, we raised over $1500 for Tawy House!

This has made a tremendous difference for the House: we were able to start to pay off some of the repairs for the damaged pipes, and we replaced the Tawy refrigerator (may the old, deceased fridge rest in pieces).

We accomplished this during one of the most notoriously difficult fundraising months for any non-profit, and that speaks volumes about you.

But while you should definitely be giving yourself a well-deserved pat on the back right about now, the journey isn’t over yet! We would like to make the other half of our original $3000 goal by December 25th, a holiday in the faith known as The Establishment of the Celestial Cow (often nicknamed “Moo-mas” given its overlap with Christmas), to make absolutely sure that Tawy House is set to go for the remainder of the winter months.

I again encourage you to sign up to support “The House of Netjer” through, particularly as we head into the season of gifts and giving.

I also suggest that you take a look at our many donor gifts: perhaps one strikes your fancy that might suit as a gift for someone else as we enter the holiday season!

Give as you can, share as you can, and I know that we can make this goal by December 25th!

Raise for Repairs: Update 2

Em hotep, everyone!

We have eight days left to the end of the month, and admittedly quite a ways to go to reach our Raise for Repairs goal. To that end, the fundraising team has reorganized our donation gifts page!

Please visit the newly updated link below to see if there are any gifts that might interest you or your friends, and pass this on to anyone you know who might also be interested in donating to our wonderful House of Netjer and receiving a lovely gift of their choice in return.

Let’s see how much we can raise by the end of October!

Raise for Repairs – Update #1

Em hotep to our siblings in the faith!

Today is a great day and we have some news to share! Helping Tawy is moving along swimmingly with some new things recently added to it.

So far our we have raised $315! Thank you everyone for helping out and getting us closer to our goal. We continue to seek support as we enter the holiday seasons, aiming to get repairs for Tawy before winter sets in.

Secondly our Donation Gifts list is continuing to grow! We have a wonderfully diverse selection of gifts for our generous benefactors to inquire about. Everything from art to tarot and more! With the holiday season coming up this may be a perfect way to gift items, skills, and more to someone who may need them. Share the love and put the word out there. Everyone may benefit from these services and gifts.

Finally we have some very exciting news! An anonymous contributor has made us a proposition. For every donation made until the end of October, this contributor will match it! It is a wonderful gift to us and we are very grateful. What this means is that for every donation you make it will basically be doubled in the spirit of giving.

Thank you everyone for the continued support! We are excited to watch as Helping Tawy moves towards its first goal.

First Fundraising Goal: Raise for Repairs!

Along with the release of our new website, the Helping Tawy staff is kicking things off with our first official Fundraising Goal: Raise for Repairs!

With winter on its way, and news reports calling for a rough one, it is very important that Tawy House be prepared for the chill. As residents of colder areas know, keeping the plumbing system of a building in good, working order is a vital part of this preparation. Tawy House has had a rough go of it lately when it comes to her pipes: boiler repair and a ceiling leak have left us in need of $3000 to pay off the maintenance workers, to remain in good standing with their company in the months ahead. This is on top of the other standard costs for maintaining a reasonably-sized building throughout a cool, Chicago autumn.

HelpingTawy needs to pay this off, and we need to do so by the end of October. It’s a big goal for our first effort, but we believe that we can make it happen through your generosity, and your willingness to reach out to others.

Here’s how to help:

1.) Visit our How to Help page. Make a direct donation there, or use Amazon Smile or iGive as you start looking ahead to winter holiday shopping this month.

2.) Check out our bookstore and pick up that text or journal you have been thinking about purchasing for yourself or a friend!

3.) Consider contributing a gift of service as a way of inspiring other donors to give!

4.) Share this website! Get the word out to those who may not have heard of us before.

At the bottom of our home page, you’ll find a counter which the fundraising team will update periodically so you can track how our Raise for Repairs efforts are going. Let’s make this happen!

Senebty (May you be healthy/Farewell),
